My Students

The students in my classroom are as inquisitive as they are unique. Coming from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and individualized needs, my students are excited explorers and avid learners.

In my classroom, we know that everyone has a different set of strengths, experiences, and needs that they bring to the table, both academically and personally.

We strive together to make growing, learning, and developing a tremendous experience for ourselves and for our peers. In order to ensure that each student thrives, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, problem solving techniques, and diverse materials.

My Project

My classroom's favorite time of day? Independent reading. The kinders avidly read books for upwards of 10 minutes. They keep 7-8 books in their book boxes are read through them for a week, excitedly changing them out for new ones the next week.

With more books, my library will be able to keep up with their unending enthusiasm and curiosity for books!

The books in my library should be no only interesting and challenging, but also representative of the diversity of the world their growing up in.

The books I've chosen for this project are highly recommended, diverse, and critically acclaimed picture books that highlight race, gender, exceptionalities, traditions, and languages. The kinders of my room need a library as diverse and unique as they are! Every donation and share helps give it to them.
