Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an early childhood teacher, currently in a Pre-K classroom for the school year 2020-2021. I have a class of 20 students, primarily composed of English Language Learners. We are a Title I school which means that 90% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch.
I want to provide my students with the best experience possible in our classroom.
I am in need of adequate materials which will help motivate my students to be successful in and out of the classroom. With your help, I can ensure that my students are receiving the best possible education available to them.
My Project
This project will help me give my students the opportunity to play with toys that can be easily sanitized but look just like them. During COVID-19, I need to make sure all my toys and materials are made of a materials which can be sanitized easily everyday, therefore these new toys would help with that. The class unfortunately lacks diverse toys, so I need your help to give my students the classroom experience they deserve. The dolls and toys of different races and ethnicities will help the students feel safe and welcomed in the classroom.
