Diversity in the Classroom

Help me give my students diversity in the classroom. Diversity refers to differences in social identities. This includes multicultural crayons, dry erase boards, posters, and more.

My Project

Being a school with African American and Hispanic students, diversity and representation is very important. Making sure our students see themselves at all times. In posters around the school, in resources, and in their classrooms. The importance of exposure to a wide range of perspectives, ideas, and cultural backgrounds naturally encourages students to develop open-mindedness later in life.

Making sure that our classroom is very inviting for all students- I want my students to have all the materials they need (multicultural crayons, dry erase boards, posters, etc.) to represent different people and their cultures.

Having these materials is a start in the right direction.
