My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! We have entered new territory with distance learning and my students are rising to the challenge. They come to our class each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
These students come from a middle class community that is becoming more and more diverse. The students and families are no strangers to hard work and the families are very involved in their child's education.
My Project
These books will not only help students grow as readers but as people. By having and reading books that are not only diverse in their characters , but in their writing will help students move beyond what they know in their lives.
Students are hungry for books that create meaningful conversations and that challenge them emotionally and mentally.
By reading diverse books my students can have these types of conversations not only in person but virtually. The books can be the springboard for many types of lessons, educational and social.
I want to give my students the chance to not only read great books but to begin to have meaningful and hard conversations.
