My Students

My third grade students are incredibly sweet individuals, who are all truly motivated to learn and explore the world around them. I currently have 24 students, and the majority of these children are emergent bilinguals developing English as a second language.

I want to provide them with the best classroom resources available.

They work so hard every single day, and a comfortable environment is critical for learning. With a brand new "modernized" classroom next year, there are some resources we desperately need to update our room!

My Project

My third grade, Title 1 students deserve to celebrate books that reflect their lives and dreams. It would mean the world to us if you helped us bring more classroom books to my students. These books were specifically chosen to engage the "banana slugs" that are in my classroom. My students are avid readers, but are struggling to find books that they are engaged with.

I believe that these books will deeply engage my third grade "banana slugs" and reflect the diversity in our beautiful classroom.

We will use these books for read aloud, biography studies, and cultural comparison of classic stories. They will be in our library for years and years to come for students to read and fall in love with.
