Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A lot of our students do not get new books or supplies, and these donations would make all the difference. These books will help students value diversity and highlight how our differences make us stronger. Additionally, the whiteboards and pencils will help students write their ideas. They will build literacy and writing skills and become better writers.
Learning through diverse stories will help students learn lessons through valuable narratives.
Our students do not see themselves represented in literature or media all that often, but these books give them the chance to be seen.
