My Project
I am requesting lots of books that will not only increase my students' exposure to various characters and places and families but also will allow them to see themselves in more books in our classroom.
I also have lots of books that focus on early readers because some of my students are beginning to gain confidence in their reading but we have limited books in our classroom that fit their skill level.
These books will give them the opportunity to read books that they are able to independently which will help build them into stronger readers.
I also required seating so that students will have a cozy reading space to read in during the day. Students currently have to go to their chairs and I would like to build a space for them to enjoy going to to read the books they choose.
