This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The United States’ inability to achieve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce diversity goals has long been attributed to the failure of the academic “pipeline” to maintain a steady flow of underrepresented minority students. My bilingual students will have the opportunity to learn coding and programming with the requested LEGO sets and Scratch using imaginations, innate curiosity, and a desire to explore and take risks. With this opportunity, they will be part of the STEM force in the future and our society capitalizing the best students' force and working toward greater progress in the future.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
