This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I choose to teach my fifth grade students through novel studies. I am not supplied with class sets of novels for my students. I rely on programs like this to ensure that each child has a copy of a book in their hand.
Our school's theme for the 2025/2026 school year is TRAVEL.
I have specifically chosen novels about travel, whether it be present day, back in the day, or even time travel. I want the characters to best represent my classroom as a whole. These novels include diverse characters and unfamiliar settings that will create not just insight, but interest as well.
