Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is comprised of 24 energetic and inquisitive Transitional Kindergartners whose families come from 10 different countries from around the world. For many of them, this is their first school experience. Currently we are distance learning and we need essential materials to make this year as inclusive as possible.

My Project

Diversity and inclusion are critical elements in today's classroom. Through the requested books, music and art I want to be able give my students the opportunity not only to embrace their culture but, also be able to experience the culture of others.

As classrooms become more and more diverse each year, it's important for all members of the class to be included and celebrated.

Through the use of multicultural toys, puzzles, books, and music children can develop compassion for others, great self-esteem, confidence, and provides kids with the opportunity to practice their social skills.
