My Project

As a first year teacher, I quickly realized my classroom library does not have diverse books. I want my students to be able to look through my books and find books about kids that LOOK like them and ACT like they do. I found this collection of books that I know would make my kids happy. As well as crayons to go along with it, in every skin color! I have a very diverse class and right now I don’t feel like my classroom supports that.

Representation matters!!

In addition to a more diverse classroom library, I have found engaging stem activities to get the kids off technology and EXCITED to learn! I believe that these two things together, will do a big part in making my classroom engaging.
