As an educator, I am trying to close the learning gap and create a differentiated classroom environment that meets all my students' needs. I teach reading, writing, and mathematics to 5th graders.
I am the 5th grade mathematics teacher at my school.
We have a mixed population of students and are located near a big city. All the students are great and love learning new things. As an educator, I try to make learning challenging while fun at the same time.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning to help them grow as readers and learn more through historical fiction.
I am trying to grow my guided reading library to provide my students with a wide range of reading material for our reading groups.
I am constantly hearing from my students that I don't have any good books in my classroom library, so I am hoping to get more students excited about the books I am providing in my classroom. Students should enjoy what they are reading, so if I am able to provide them with more options I believe this will spark their interest and get more books in their hands.
