This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I School that is located in a diverse, low socio-economic neighborhood in the Bay Area. I have 24 eager to learn kindergarten students this year. Kindergarten students are enthusiastic and excited to learn. My goal is to provide them with a safe environment that foster a love of learning and a wide variety of skills and knowledge.
Kindergarten students love to explore, discover, and be creative and we need the proper supplies and materials to keep them fully engaged in their learning.
I want my classroom to be equipped with all of the materials necessary for my students to have fun while learning and be successful in all that they do.
My Project
During distance learning I am recording numerous read alouds daily for my students to watch and listen to. My students have access to many virtual bookshelves full of books I have recorded reading. Adding diverse books to the shelves would be absolutely amazing and beneficial for all of my students.
I would love to build my library of diverse books and be prepared for my students return with diverse toys for them to play with.
My class is made up of 24 little learners who are all very diverse. It is very important to have racial representation in our library and our toys. With your donation you will help make this possible.
