My Students
I teach over 125 students that range from 1st - 5th grade at two different schools. One school is located in a rural area, while the other school is located next to a Military Base. My students have been identified as Gifted and Talented, they see the world in unique ways. They demonstrate their giftedness in different manners. My students represent a wide range of differing backgrounds and socio-economic status. They come to class with a tremendous amount of curiosity and an excitement for learning, especially when they are actively engaged in learning activities.
My students thrive as they collaborate in small groups with brain stretching activities and project based learning.
I strive to provide a classroom environment where students feel safe to take chances and learn from their mistakes. We continually focus on the importance of a growth mindset so that they never give up, even when things get challenging.
My Project
The 3Doodler Learning Pack is recognized as the ideal EdTech for integrating STEM principles. 3Doodlers will provide a tactile learning experience that will engage my students and promote creative thinking and problem solving. I will be able to utilize the 3Doodler to diversify my teaching methods and adapt to different learning styles. This cross-curricular activity will be perfect to reinforce a novel that we are currently reading focusing on art by Vermeer. My students are always excited about the ability to create, especially when they can connect it to something they are excited about!
The 3Doodler Learning Pack will inspire creativity, design, planning, building and spatial understanding and a love for literacy.
Students will explore the principles of art and design, spatial awareness, and tactile skills with 3D creations. This will help integrate the principles of STEM and encourage critical thinking as we focus on literature and art by Vermeer.
