My Project
Inspire high school students through diverse novels!
These stories can be a “mirror” text for students who relate to the characters and a “window” text for teens who can learn about a different perspective from their own.
There is a great need for multicultural texts!
In addition, these two novels are very engaging. High schoolers of all reading levels feel pulled into the lives of these characters and their captivating situations.
When students want to read a story, they develop their analytical and critical thinking skills, and they see themselves as “readers.” Encourage this! They will feel motivated to read other books, including others with diverse voices.
