This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach third grade in a high-poverty school in Georgia. One hundred percent of students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are diverse in academic ability, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, and life experience. They are excited about school and love learning new things. My third graders particularly love science and being able to conduct experiments and learn about the world.

I want to provide my students with the best education possible.

We need partners like you to help us get these resources into our classroom.

My Project

Read aloud time is the highlight of our busy day. I read to my students each day and I have read through all of my read alouds. I like to keep my students imaginations running wild with the adventures we engage in during our whole group read aloud time. Additionally, I would like to introduce my students to a diverse set of literature to help teach them about different cultures, while building tolerance and acceptance. This project will provide my students with more titles to look forward to throughout our school year.
