My Students
My students are overflowing with curiosity! They have millions of questions and I tirelessly search for ways to provide them with opportunities to ask those questions and discover the answers. They love to get out of the classroom and have real-world experiences where learning comes alive.
My students are explorers that want to document the excitement of their learning adventures and share their stories.
Being in an urban setting limits our ability to explore nature. Through local organizations and partnerships, we provide multiple opportunities for students to get out in nature to explore, make connections, and learn in ways that aren't possible in the classroom.
My Project
Many students that walk through my classroom door don't like science. Some have had boring experiences in elementary and middle school while others simply aren't interested in the topic of study or don't see the relevance for what they are learning.
I want to create a science library with diverse content that will include options that will interest all students.
I want to have a collection of books in the classroom that students can read that cover a wide range of topics by diverse authors. I want to help students connect to the content and see themselves represented in the classroom materials available.
