Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The book collections I selected were to have more representation of culture and gender in the classroom. I would like my students to have a welcoming library that represents them and that they are able to relate to the stories in the books I have selected. My goal for this project is to obtain the books and my students feel encouraged and motivated to pick up a book and have it read or just look at the pages and relate to the images they are looking at and have familiar experiences. My scholars are very special because they come from hard-working families who are trying to do everything possible for the best educational experiences for their children. My scholars are motivated to learn and I want to provide an equitable learning experience. They are very sweet and loving!
