Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! I work in a school where 93% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. A typical day in my classroom is filled with excitement about learning and exploring.

My students are always striving to achieve even when they face hardships outside of school.

Their love for learning is what will help them to become successful men and women of the future! I am excited to help them get on their way.

My Project

My students love to read and love to learn new things! By using a cross-curricular approach to education, students will be able to read about a diverse content! The books will be used daily.

Over half of my students are learning English as a second language and these books will help the students build their vocabulary skills.

It will also give them exposure to real world connections with the second grade curriculum. These new multi cultural books will give students the spark they need to get excited about reading every day!
