At our school, the students need to have a variety of diverse multicultural reading books appropriate for children to help them become more kind, caring, and empathetic towards others.

These books are an excellent start to help them to be inspired to achieve their goals in reading and become life-long learners.

It is important as educators to expose students to the systemic inequities that face Black and Indigenous People of Color, different ethnic groups, women, and people with special needs.

It is important to address issues of race and racism. Children's books are one of the most effective and practical tools for initiating these critical conversations. Students need to have access to a variety of literature books appropriate for children
