Diverse Learners Need a Variety of Games in Biology

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my 10th year teaching. This year I am teaching AP Biology, Honors Biology and CP Biology. I am also advising the Eco Mindfulness Activities and Crafts Club and Garden Club. As I have been teaching this school year for almost 2 months, I have an idea to support my students that are classified as English Language Learners and Long Term English Language Learners. I also have a small handful of students that are immigrants from various places in my class and clubs. Learning a new language and only being at school for a year or two can be scary and challenging as a teen. My English Language Learners learn best through visuals instead of written/text assignments. I have had an idea to use the Guess Who Game as a way to visually review vocabulary terms and topics by communicating and conversing with classmates to improve scientific literacy.
I need 8 Guess Who Games and lamination sheets to create game cards of different cell types and organelles for our introduction to cells unit.
I can download a colorful template of different cell types and organelles, print, and laminate them and place them in the Guess Who Games. Students will need to use their content knowledge and practice speaking to figure out which organelle card the other person has. This would be a great way for my students to practice speaking in a game setting.
I need a document camera that can record audio so that when I am drawing diagrams and the students are taking notes and following along, they can have access to the recording to go back to the lesson to help them review difficult concepts like cell biology.
We also need hot glue, glue sticks and a pencil sharpener to create models of a cell membrane.
