My Project
In kindergarten, it is essential to read aloud to my students daily. Selecting quality literature with diverse characters and settings is vital for student growth. Students need the opportunity to see into others' lives and also see themselves within a story. The books I have selected will allow all my students to see into other cultures and to be reflected within other stories. Having these books provides children a chance to think beyond their home or schoolroom. It broadens their perspective and provides opportunities for discussions in the classroom and at home.
