Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will benefit from having a learning center filled with multicultural books and play people that represent different ethnicities.
Our community is primarily Latino and can benefit from having books about the diverse communities around us.
My students will learn about other cultures with their friends by playing together during small groups. The block play people represent different ethnicities and will help the students see and become more aware of other cultures.
The multicultural people will allow my students to see that people come in different colors, shapes and sizes. The children's books will allow me to read them different stories about children just like them. By listening to these stories my students will gain pride in themselves and increase their understanding of others.
