My Students
I teach 33 brilliant fourth graders. My students care about their peers and the world around them. They genuinely love to read and are excited with every second that they are able to read.
My students are eager to learn about the world around them and reading nonfiction and fiction will help them to reach that goal.
My fourth graders love picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, series, nonfiction, and fiction alike. They enjoy connecting with each other through the books that they read. I am happy that I get to share my love of reading with my students.
My Project
Books can teach anyone and everyone about the world around them. I want to provide my students with a diverse classroom library so that they can learn about their world. I want to provide my students with windows and mirrors into the world around them through books.
My students will be able to learn about other experiences and see themselves in the books they read.
This is important because my students will be able to relate to characters or learn about other people’s experiences in the big and diverse world.
