My class consists of 25 energetic students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The diversity present in my class facilitates an enriched learning environment full of unique, caring, curious, and enthusiastic 7- and 8-year-olds.
My students deserve the chance to learn in an environment that is suitable for their needs, allowing each child to grow both academically and socially.
These students are motivated by a desire to learn and explore, inspiring me to be a better teacher for them every day.
My Project
I have the privilege of teaching a beautifully diverse class from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and religions. Unfortunately, my classroom library does not reflect this diversity.
These books will give my students the opportunity to read books that have characters that look like them!
These books will add a diversity to my classroom library with books that are culturally relevant and reflective of my students, empowering my students to see themselves in these diverse characters.
These books are also by a diverse group of authors that can prove to my students that they can do anything they set their mind to.
