My Students
I am the lucky teacher of 25 second graders from multiple cultural backgrounds. My Learners love to move, learn, create and collaborate. They are eager to be successful, share with others, include others, be engaged, and be happy!
They are a diverse group of second graders that are risk takers and ready to take on any challenge you put in front of them.
They are only 7 and 8 years old and being successful on their everyday tasks can be difficult at times. I want to give my students the tools they need that will allow them to meet their peak potential for success! I will do anything I can for them to reach their goals! They deserve it! They are amazing!
My Project
Six Gaiam Kids Balance Ball Chairs! They are the new and exciting flexible furniture that promote movement, diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism in classrooms. We have a classroom down the hall who has a few of these exciting chairs in their classroom and my inquisitive students wanted to know more about them. I borrowed a few and they instantly fell in love with them. Their overall mindset and work ethic changed with the chairs. I saw an increase in concentration, an increase in acceptance for diversity, an increase in inclusion and so much more. Overall, is was a more positive atmosphere. They asked and asked, begged and pleaded. They wanted those balance ball chairs for our room. I could not let them down. After all, their ideas were pretty great! I knew at that point, I needed to get the Gaiam Kids Balance Ball Chairs for our classroom!
Flexible seating is a great way to bring healthy lifestyles into our classroom while promoting movement, diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism in the classroom!
Integrating these new flexible seating chairs and changing up our classroom arrangement will help them to stay on task and focused on learning, promote movement, diversity, inclusion and multiculturalism.
