My Project

I have the privilege of covering a seventh and eighth grade social studies class. For the month of February, I introduced a Black History Month project along with some books for display. Coming from an elementary background I do not have enough middle school level books.

When students have a free moment they are welcome to grab a book and read.

One student asked specifically for more books on Sojourner Truth and that is how this journey began. My heart melts when a student asks for books.

The classroom needs more books on diversity and I appreciate any help you can provide.
