This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is made up of a diverse group of students from countries all over the world. These second grade students also speak a variety of languages and are English Language Learners. These books will help my students see themselves in books. These books enable students to see themselves in books and to also open doors to view glimpses into the lives and experiences of others. These books will encourage them to keep reading by developing a love for reading. It is my goal as their teacher to not only put books in their hands but have them love and be excited to read. Students at this young reading stage enjoy playing games and touching the sounds.
