This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing to shed light on a wonderful opportunity to enrich the educational experience of our transitional kindergartners. Our classroom is in need of a diverse array of books that reflect the multitude of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives that our students bring with them. By donating these books, you will help create an inclusive environment where every child can see themselves represented in the stories they read.

Diverse books are windows to the world, offering our young learners a chance to explore different cultures, traditions, and life experiences.

These stories foster empathy, understanding, and a love for learning about the world around them. Your contributions will not only provide access to quality literature but also inspire a lifelong passion for reading and learning.

In sharing stories from diverse voices, we can celebrate our differences and build bridges of understanding among our students. Your support will make a lasting impact on the lives of these young minds, shaping them into compassionate and open-minded individuals. I have also added books to help me grow in my practice as an educator as well as a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to find lessons and activities that I can use to differentiate instruction for my students.
