Our elementary school is a public neighborhood school located in Contra Costa County in California. The community blesses our school with amazing family volunteer participation.
This year, I have 11 kindergarten and 14 eager first-grade students.
My classroom contains a community of vast learners. My classroom is usually a bustling place for hands-on learning. I love to engage my students in many hands-on activities.
My Project
My students love story time! It is what they ask for daily. Even more so in this distance learning we are participating in. While I am waiting to get them back in the classroom so that I can see the joy that takes place when it is free reading time once again. I am alone in this classroom... so I have been going through my reading corner.
I started noticing that my vast classroom library was lacking diversity.
I would like to boost my library with books that include all of students.
