Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
3rd graders are eager to learn! I teach a diverse group of kids who come from a variety of backgrounds. I love that my students are curious and inquisitive. I learn from them every day!
In my class we focus on building relationships and supporting each other as a community of learners!
I have high expectations for my students both academically and socially emotionally because I want to help them achieve success in all aspects of their lives.
My Project
I am very passionate about reading, but I am mostly passionate about the students in my class and teaching them to be kind, accepting, inclusive people. My classroom library has often been limited by books that were passed on to me from other teachers, but I want to expand that with current books that show different cultures, races and families.
I want to provide my students with books that represent the diversity in our classroom, school, country and world!
Young children learn so much from stories so I want to make sure my classroom library is diverse so my students can see a variety of characters represented in the books we read.
