My Project

Our early childhood students come from a wide range of cultures, countries, and religions. To help them feel seen and valued, we need diverse books that reflect their backgrounds and lived experiences.

Adding inclusive literature to our classroom will enrich our current units of study and foster empathy, understanding, and belonging.

Books are powerful mirrors and windows—mirrors to see themselves and windows to learn about others. By adding these carefully selected books, we can ensure every child feels represented and inspired through the stories read in our classroom. What better way to feel loved and welcomed than by sharing a story together.
