Diverse Books for Deaf Students

Help me give my students more diverse books to borrow from our library. As the DE School for the Deaf librarian, I have been working hard to increase the diversity of our book collection.

My Project

At DE School for the Deaf, we have a widely diverse student population. In my library classes and throughout the school, we are trying to increase awareness of diversity and the value of every single person in our community. We also want to make sure our students see themselves in the pages of the books they read. Books bring the world to readers and I truly believe in the power of books in developing empathy and awareness. Our students deserve quality, diverse books! This will make a difference for them.
