Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My preschool students are a wonderful mix of energetic, curious little learners. Each child, including those with special needs, brings their own unique spark to our classroom. Their eagerness to explore and connect with others makes every day an adventure.
My biggest hope is to nurture not just early academic skills, but also kindness, curiosity, and a love for learning in all my young students.
The soft bean bag chair will be our "Cozy Corner" for quiet time and story sessions. It will provide a soothing spot for children who need sensory breaks or a calm space to look at picture books. During our daily "Circle Time," we'll use the diverse books to explore simple concepts of friendship, feelings, and our community. These stories will help all children see themselves and others represented positively.
The stand for our cleaning set might seem small, but it's big for teaching basic life skills. My little ones love to help, and this will let them practice sorting, organizing, and caring for their space. It's a fun way to work on motor skills and following simple instructions.
These resources will make our classroom a place where inclusion and imagination go hand in hand. My students will have a comfy spot to rest and read, colorful books that celebrate diversity, and tools to learn about taking care of their environment. All of this helps create a loving, supportive space where every child can grow and learn at their own pace.
