My Students

I work in a school where the majority of the students are from low income families. I teach a classroom where most of my students are not on grade level. I have a classroom full of students who are motivated and excited to see growth in their academics. Every child is expected to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and Common Core State Standards. Students are eager to learn and are excited and thrilled by technology and hands-on projects that are rich and meaningful. In order to provide my students with the right learning that’s engaging and supportive, I will have to design a well thought out and effective lesson that will reach their attention and keep them focused.

My Project

My students inspire me to try new things and find interesting lessons for them. I work in a school where most of my students are struggling. My students do not have everyday access to books, and stores where they can purchase activities to assist with their learning and education. They come to school excited to see their friends and participate in our activities. My students love hands-on activities with materials to build, explore and write. In my class, we make the most of what we have with the one-to-one technology, and the little resources provided. We use online math, science, and reading programs, interactive programs and worksheets throughout the day. We also create, build, and and use technology daily to promote learning.
