This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a kindergarten teacher. The community where I work is dominated by low-income families.
At our school, teachers do not have access to a copier. The copy requests are put in a folder and submitted to the office. There are times that the waiting period is 2 weeks. There are even instances when we get the copies after a particular lesson is completed or holiday has passed.
A copier in our classroom will ensure that students get the copies of the work needed on time. The kindergarteners' homework is based on sheets that reflect what they have learned at school. When copy requests get submitted, it takes too long to receive copies. Our elementary school is over populated with over 1,000 students and there is a high demand for copies. It becomes overwhelming having to go to a copy center to make copies for your students to make sure that copies are back in time for a particular lesson.
As always, donations are a great help to any teacher and school!!! Thank you for your donations.
