it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher at an inner-city school. I am privileged to work with 28 amazing children who are eager to learn and use any learning tools they are given. My students have a tremendous amount of learning to do this upcoming year, and most of it happens from repetition and practice.
My students like to read, participate, and ask questions!
Working as an elementary teacher in a low-income and high-poverty inner-city district is challenging itself. These pandemic years have been very difficult for our families and students. My students face several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Whichever challenge they meet, I strive to provide my students with the creative and meaningful learning experiences they deserve!
My Project
My kindergarteners and I are in DESPERATE need of your help!! I thought the pandemic school year was tough, but this school year is even MORE challenging!
With the curriculums, following new guidelines, new programs, and trying to manage everything at once, the one thing that was always there was ink for printers.
Now, there is a shortage of ink in the entire school's printers. It is going to take months to order new proper ink cartridges! How can I possibly teach my kindergarteners without being able to copy the work for each lesson? How can my kindergartners learn how to write their names without copies of the name to trace? How can my kindergarteners learn how to write their shapes and numbers without the proper copies for it?
This ink will help my students and me TREMENDOUSLY! We will be able to copy all of our needed work without having to stress or worry about what I can or cannot print! Our children deserve better than this! They deserve to experience learning with no limits!
