My Project
I am requesting a cellphone organizer and chargers for my classroom to create a more structured and focused learning environment. The students I serve often have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) due to their special education needs, which means they may require additional support to stay engaged and on task. In today’s digital world, cellphones can be a major distraction, making it difficult for students to focus and absorb new material. By implementing a cellphone organizer, students will have a designated place to store their devices at the beginning of class, reducing the temptation to check notifications, text, or browse social media.
This system will promote better concentration, allowing students to fully participate in discussions, collaborate with peers, and engage with lessons in a meaningful way.
For students with special education needs, maintaining attention and minimizing distractions are crucial for their academic success. The structure provided by the organizer will support their ability to self-regulate, follow routines, and develop essential learning habits. Additionally, the presence of chargers will ensure that students who need their devices for educational purposes later in the day won’t have to worry about low battery concerns, reducing unnecessary anxiety and interruptions.
By fostering a structured and distraction-free learning environment, this initiative will help students develop better focus, self-discipline, and time management skills—essential tools for their academic success and future independence.
