Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher at a Title I, a fine arts magnet school. My students are from different economic backgrounds. The majority of them are economically disadvantaged. Their home settings range from two-parent to single-parent homes. A majority of my students are of Spanish culture (or descent) or African-American.
My students are innovative, hard-working, and most importantly, dreamers.
We focus on student-led education. My students display their eagerness to learn, and most importantly, the character traits that come with persistence and resilience.
My Project
These materials will help my find effective virtual lessons for all of my students ( while I teach face to face and virtually at the same time). With the gift card I will be able to find effective virtual materials I need to ensure my students are learning and growing. With the unwind materials such as the play dough and drawing pads and other resources; my face to face students will stay safe and still have the learning and playing experience that they need without having to share.
