This year my class will be made up of students whose parents chose full distance learning. They are students that are a part of our title 1 school. My students will have limited access to reading material while being out of the building. I will not have many opportunities to provide them with physical books.
My Project
My students will be participating in full distance learning. After teaching remotely in the spring I learned the struggle of finding a variety of reading material for my students. Many companies and publishers were very gracious to offer their services for free, but that has changed for this school year.
I am hoping to get a variety of reading opportunities to use as a whole class and for independent reading for my students.
Scholastic makes great resources for this! Storyworks offers both fiction and non-fiction reading passages. Additional magazines will enhance my science and social studies curriculum.
