My Students
Our students live in a small town tucked away in the side of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The students that I have all came to me through our Agricultural Education Department. Many of them are headed into technical or specialized careers, and each of those careers touches or can touch some aspect of rural life.
In a climate of uncertainty, our students are working hard learn and pursue experiences in manufacturing and agriculture.
We continue to provide opportunities for them to learn but as it is a difficult time we do need your help to make opportunities happen.
My Project
The difficult part of teaching this year is not being able to directly teach my students. I miss the puzzled looks, ah ha! moments, endless questions and opportunities to see their creativity.
Above all of the problems of distance learning, the most difficult of all is how to teach students hands-on skills remotely.
This project will give me an opportunity to give a hands-on lab to my at home students. Each of them will receive all of the tools, safety equipment and a specimens to work on at home. They will be free to spend as much time as they need while receiving remote assistance when they have questions.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
