This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When I dismissed my class on March 13, 2020 I didn’t realize our classroom community would be turned upside down. It was the last time I gave hugs and high fives as my students were picked up by parents, guardians and aftercare personnel.

My kids are currently learning from home with the use of electronic devices provided by our school and the NYC DOE.

We are using google classroom and a variety of other websites to compliment our curriculum.

My Project

My students are these funny, witty and hardworking individuals who were thrown in this distance learning adventure just like every child in America.

What we didn’t know was that it would be this long.

The laptop I had in my class which I took home was a very old model that cannot provide me with the updates I need to make our google classroom engagements fun and exciting for each of my students learning needs.

The MacBook would enhance every lesson I provide my kids and can keep me connected to them during the summer months when I will be their link to school news and upcoming activities.
