My Students

My 4th graders are hard-working, ambitious, and passionate scholars. They are eager with curious minds, ready to inquire and explore! Our school is a low-income, Title 1 school, where every single scholar receives free school meals for both breakfast and lunch. Majority of the scholars at our school are English Language Learners.

If you walk onto our campus, you will notice how colorful and diverse our student body is.

Each scholar comes from a diverse cultural background and experiences, contributing to the multicultural atmosphere on campus. My scholars lack resources to participate in a rich and highly effective distance learning experience.

My Project

As a teacher, distance learning will not stop me from helping my scholars obtain the skills necessary to achieve their learning goals. These learning tools will support and help my scholars to stay engaged in a rich and high-quality education during remote learning.

The project will provide a mobile whiteboard, chart papers and a microphone, so that I can model lessons and display visual aids to support my 4th grade scholars during our ZOOM sessions.

I will use the mobile whiteboard to model examples and display visual aids to support the diverse learners in my classroom. The Mobile Whiteboard will also be used to display anchor charts and teacher annotations so my scholars can follow along during live instructions. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will provide my class with digital resources that I will use to supplement my lessons. The microphone will enhance my voice as I teach, so my scholars may hear me clearly.

In addition, my scholars will use the individual whiteboards to actively participate from home as they interact in the lessons by displaying their incredible work. The earbuds will help my scholars stay focused as it will help eliminate any outside noises during our ZOOM meetings. With your help, my scholars will be able to persevere and overcome the challenges of distance learning. These basic learning tools will support my scholars and I navigate and continue a high- quality education, even during distance learning. Thank you for taking your time to read my project.
