Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If you were to peek into my room on a given day, you would see students working together and laughing as they learn. Though students come to kindergarten at different learning levels, they are all able to help each other to be their best and have fun doing it. My students love anything hands-on and interactive. My students come to school every day eager to learn and grow.
Our school serves TK-8 students in Oakland, CA as they learn and grow.
These students show hard work and grit coming to school and being ready for new challenges every day in a safe learning environment. There is not always enough to go around to help them on their journey to the next grade and beyond. As their teacher, I hope that I can help them to be their best and reach all of their goals and serve the whole child.
My Project
My students are eager learners ready to learn every day despite the challenges they face in 2020 with distance learning. Giving them the materials they need to feel successful will help them feel engaged and ready.
Giving students whiteboards will help us all equitable practice writing, math, and other skills to get them ready for 1st grade.
These whiteboards can be used as whole class practice, small group practice, or independent practice at home. Thank you for helping to ensure that all of my students have the materials they need to thrive during distance learning and beyond.
