Distance Learning Materials for Kindergarten

Help me give my students a home learning experience that allows them to focus. The headphones will especially allow children to ignore distractions in their learning space while logged in.

My Students

Kindergarten is often the first step into the formal years of elementary education. As we begin the year, kindergarten students are being introduced to their schools, their teachers, and their peers from behind a computer screen. These are unprecedented times, but that doesn't have to take away from the important learning being done during class time.

Our students are all coming into school this year from their homes where they don't have access to classroom supplies.

With this project, I hope to supply students with some of the things they will need to learn some of the most important foundational kindergarten lessons.

My Project

The materials and supplies I've requested will go straight into the arms of students who need them. Learning from home is incredibly challenging and without the proper equipment, some students will be left behind. In the classroom, students learn how to self-regulate with the support of a dynamic classroom. This would include one-on-one teacher support, a classroom with visuals to help them cope with the many distractions, and a curriculum to help them manage this new world of education.

Without the classroom, students need access to these important self-regulation materials in their homes.

Headphones will allow students to tune into class without the distraction of their siblings and adults in their house who are also in virtual meetings. The sensory items, like fidgets, putty, and bubbles will give students an outlet for keeping their bodies busy while their brains expand.
