Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My young learners and parents have had to adjust to distance learning as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. My young learners are now learning from home through this new digital platform utilizing what materials they have in the home as a resource.
These unprecedented times have changed how we teach but it shouldn't change our young learners' love of learning.
My Project
The books in this project will be used during reading time with my students with special needs during virtual reading sessions. The story telling pieces, picture cards, magnetic letters and picture cards will be used as resources to aid in language development and scaffold learning.
Virtual reading sessions will provide an opportunity for essential learning to take place for my students with special needs.
This will help my young learners enjoy books and plant the seed of loving books and make reading a fun and essential way of learning. It will be an essential and meaningful learning experience.
