This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of third graders who come from different economic backgrounds with over seventy-seven percent receiving free lunch. My students speak a multitude of languages. As diverse as my students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics as well. Our class includes gifted learners, English language learners, and students with academic disabilities.

My students are an enthusiastic, eager group of third grade students who come from very diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our school is a Title I school. My students are excited about learning and want to do well. Due to this pandemic, my students are not able to have access to basic materials, books, and manipulatives that are provided in our classroom.

My Project

Whether it be distance learning or classroom learning, our students will need secure, personal supply boxes to help prevent contamination with Covid-19.

I want to make personal supply boxes for my students so they have access to all the supplies they will need for the new school year.

I would like to label and assign boxes filled with all their supplies so they have the tools necessary for learning. Using Astrobright colored paper to make labels and storage folders that are laminated for strength, will make the boxes bright, fun, and exciting. Students do not have access to school supplies at home and I would like to make sure my students are fully prepared to participate in their lessons and have the tools necessary to complete assignments.
