Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from low-income households in a city with limited resources. They come from different backgrounds, some with parents that don't speak English and parents with very limited resources. I also have students that have many different learning needs. For example, I have visual learners, kinesthetic learners, as well as English Language Learners. They have made every effort to be present in online learning.
My students are enthusiastic learners and they eagerly look forward to our Zoom meetings and Google Classroom activities.
They would benefit from a variety of different distance learning resources in order to meet their needs and make our virtual learning experience more engaging.
My Project
My students are eager learners that have done everything they can in order to participate in our distance learning. We have been practicing reading and math skills with the resources that I have access through our district. My students would benefit from different more engaging resources in order to make our virtual learning more engaging and fun.
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase distance learning resources that align with our ELA and math curriculums.
It will allow me to find resources that I can include in our Google Classroom and that will allow my students to keep learning with more engaging activities. The goal is for students to become more efficient in using online resources.
