Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students and I have been working very hard at adjusting to this new lifestyle and way of learning. I can say that while we have gotten into the swing of things we all miss each other very much! Currently, I upload students' weekly work packet to our class page and students work at their own pace and turn it in. I offer video chats twice a week to go over the material. However, it has been hard for most to get on since parents are working. We do our best but I know my kids struggle and miss school just as much as I do!
My Project
My students have been working tirelessly to adjust to our new way of learning from home. While we are still unsure of how this next school year will look like and when we will go back, I want to be sure to have some materials ready for my students. With this project I will be able to give my new students some new books to add to our classroom library or use as a traveling library. I've included some materials for kids to take a break and use their creativity to come up with their own projects.
Students right now are in need of developing and fostering their creativity while being at home.
These resources will help my students do just that! Just some crayons and pieces of paper I know will help some of my students who don't have access to this at home just take a small break to create something of their own or use the fidgeting tools when things seem too much to handle. These materials will help my students take time for some much needed self-care!
