Distance Learning Fun

Help me give my students materials for working on distance learning lessons, snacks to keep them motivated, and a fun summer workbook to work on to keep their learning going all summer!

My Students

My students and I have been out of school since March 16th. We had no idea that on Friday, March 13th, we would not be seeing each other again for the rest of the school year. If I had, I know I would have laughed a little more, danced and had fun throughout the day, and hugged a little harder while heading out the doors. Fortunately, my students are in a district that has been very helpful in providing choice boards for students to do at home, either on paper or electronically. I have been able to keep in touch with them throughout the closure.

My Project

These materials that I am requesting will provide every student in my class with an equal opportunity to complete their work. Some students do not have a journal to complete their work in, and they are having to turn in work on small notecards. Other students don't even have a box of crayons at home to add details to their pictures for their writing activities.

By providing every student with the same materials, I am giving them a level playing ground to work with.

I also want to include a few snacks for each student as some students are in homes where it may be hard to have the amount of food they were used to getting while at school. And we all know that having something to snack on while doing your work helps keep your mind going!

Finally, I wanted to include a fun summer workbook that will keep my students learning over the summer so they will be ready for 2nd grade! I really look forward to being able to get these materials and see the smiles on my students' faces when I give these out. Thank you for your support!
